Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 August 2026

This policy explains what information Argo collects, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

This is a working draft written to be replaced. Have it reviewed before the App Store submission, which requires a live, accurate privacy policy URL.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an Argo account we store the identifier you sign in with and a display name. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, we only ever see the relay address Apple provides.

Content you create

The stays, hotels, rankings, notes, and photos you add to Argo are stored so they can sync to your devices and be restored if you reinstall the app.

Diagnostics

We collect limited crash and performance data to find and fix problems in the app.

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your stay history for advertising.

Service providers

Argo uses third-party infrastructure to run the service, including Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, and hosting, and Apple for sign-in and subscription processing. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app at any time; deleting it removes your stays, rankings, and profile data from our systems, subject to short-lived backups that expire on a rolling basis.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Write to us and we’ll help.

Children

Argo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
